Fjalëkryq Shqip / privacy
Privacy policy.
Fjalëkryq Shqip is an Android crossword app by DashCode Agency, Tirana, Albania. It doesn't ask for your name, email address or phone number, and doesn't sell your data. Last updated October 30, 2026.
On your device
The app keeps your games, statistics, level stars, helpers, the "Where are you from?" choice and the selected categories. If Android backup is on, the system may include them in your own device backup.
On the game's server
The server (Supabase, in London, United Kingdom) serves the crosswords and keeps:
- an anonymous account with a random id, created automatically on first launch; it isn't linked to your name or email address;
- the levels you finished, with stars and time, so your progress is kept;
- how many puzzles you fetched each day, to limit abuse;
- clues you report as wrong, with the reason you pick;
- your times for daily puzzles and levels, for the leaderboards;
- your IP address, which appears in the server's technical logs for a few days.
Nickname and leaderboards
If you choose a nickname, it appears on the leaderboards and on the game's public page, together with the region you chose ("Where are you from?") and your times. Without a nickname you appear nowhere. The public page shows only totals and nicknames.
Playing together
When you play with someone in a room, the other player sees your nickname (or "The other player"), whether you're connected, and your letters and position in the grid (co-op) or how much you've filled in (race). The server keeps the room, the shared grid and the result.
Signing in with Google (optional)
If you sign in with Google, we keep your Google account's email address and name to recognise you on any phone. We never show them to anyone or use them for anything else.
Ads
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd.). To show and measure them, Google may use the device's advertising ID, the IP address and technical data about the device. In the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask for your consent first, and you can change it in Settings › Privacy choices for ads. Fjalëkryq Plus shows no ads. Seehow Google uses data.
Purchases
The Fjalëkryq Plus subscription is paid through Google Play; we never see payment details. We keep only the subscription's state (active or not, and until when) to link it to your account.
Firebase
Some technical services come from Google's Firebase (Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC), which processes the data for us and may process it outside the European Union. They use a random id of the app's installation, which isn't linked to your game account, your name or the advertising ID:
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): if the app crashes, it sends a technical report so the bug can be fixed: the technical error, the app version, the device model and the Android version.
- Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics and Performance Monitoring): short events, for example that a level was started or finished (with its stars and time), that a helper was used or that the Plus screen was opened; how often and how long the app is used, the country (from the IP address), the device model and how fast the app starts. They show us how many players come back and where the game is too hard. They never contain your name, email address or anything you type. They're kept for 2 months. Turn them off in Settings › Your data › Share usage statistics.
- Notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging): while they're on inSettings › Notifications (and Android allows them), your device gets a random token so we can send the daily puzzle reminder and news about the game.
- Settings and in-app messages (Firebase Remote Config and In-App Messaging): the app downloads the game's rules (such as how many free helpers there are each day) and, now and then, a message from us inside the app.
- Protection from copying (Firebase App Check with Google Play Integrity): every request to the game's server carries a proof that it comes from the genuine app from Google Play on a real device; the server only checks it and doesn't keep it.
There are no marketing analytics. Data on the device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data. How to delete what the server keeps is below.
Delete your data
In the app: Settings › Your data › Delete my data on the server. Your account is deleted at once, with everything the server keeps about you (progress, results, nickname, the link to your Google account and to your subscription); clue reports you sent stay, without any link to you. The statistics' id on the phone is replaced by a new one, and old statistics are removed by themselves after 2 months. If you have Fjalëkryq Plus, cancel it in Google Play first.
Without the app (for example after uninstalling it): write to us at the address below from the email address of the Google account you signed in with, or tell us your nickname, and we delete the account within 30 days. The server's technical logs are removed by themselves after a few days.
